2nd Annual Oak Forest Rotary Picnic

The 2nd annual OF Rotary picnic was held this past Sunday after a 12 year hiatus. Even though the author of this article believed picnics were lame, we all had a wonderful time thanks to director Ron and all his family members. Did I say "all his family members", the Rotarians...
Rotarians (all 4 of us) were greatly outnumbered by 4 generations of the Drechsel clan. One can only guess that Ron had help from Kathy and his daughter Brittany for the planning of such a fun event. Most of us took advantage of the free miniature golf (Dorothy swings a mean putter), and we all enjoyed the culinary delights as supplied by the families attending. Contests of great skill were conducted with bean bag challenges and water balloon toss. Prizes were awarded for all contest winners and for all the categories of our extensive dining delights. Your author now stands corrected, picnics can be fun. If you missed it (as many of you did), well, it's your loss. See you next year. doc
