Dr. Gregg Greiner DVM was the program speaker at the Oak Forest Rotary Meeting on January 31st. Dr Greiner talked about his new book, “The Laugh A Minute Clinic”.  The book began as a series of anecdotes about fun thing he encountered in his career as a veterinarian; it quickly evolved into a humorous but serious book with the underlying theme of how to succeed. As I read the book I was most impressed with Gregg’s enthusiastic positive attitude toward life and his career as a veterinarian.  Gregg one of eight children, was born and raised in Oak Forest and was in the second graduating class of Oak Forest High School.  He attended Lewis University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in Champaign Illinois.

Upon graduating, he began working as an associate veterinarian at the Burr Ridge Veterinary Clinic, and in 1989, he became an owner. Dr. Greiner's main professional interest is surgery, both soft tissue and orthopedic.  He has served on the executive boards of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, Americans for Intelligent Healthcare Reform and Immaculata Academy. When he isn't working at the clinic, Dr. Greiner enjoys fishing, renovating his house, gardening and anything that requires a power tool.  One quote from the book, "love to learn and learn to love,  Everything else will fall into place."
