Over the past 25 years, the Rotary Club of Oak Forest has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in the city of Oak Forest.   The award caters to the intelligent, well-rounded student, who is enrolled in a college, trade or technical school for this upcoming fall semester.

The criteria for the award is not based on financial need or academic excellence,  but rather on social and civic involvement.  Emphasis is placed on  Service Above Self, our Rotary motto.  Essentially, "What have you done for someone else".

In an effort to expand our Rotary Club's scholarship base, our Club now participates in the nationally organized Dollars For Scholars program sponsored by Scholarship America, the nations largest private sector scholarship and educational support organization.  The Rotary Club of Oak Forest chapter of Dollars For Scholars® is one of 1200 chapters in 40 states that raise funds and provide financial and academic support to local students seeking a postsecondary education.
