Rotary Clean Water Projects (Nov. 29, 2005)
Michael Slevnik presented Haiti Water Wells Project to Club. Donation went towards providing clean drinking water to Haitian children.
1) www.purewaterfortheworld.org - The roots of Pure Water for the World, Inc. began in 1994 when a dentist from the Brattleboro (Vermont) Rotary Club volunteered to help out a small Salvadoran village. 2) www.rotarycleanwater.org - funds low cost water projects using club funds & individual contributions instead of using Rotary Foundation sources & matching grants. Types of projects are: wells, gravity feed systems, filter systems, wash stations, latrines, health & hygiene programs, & maintenance & repair projects.
